Any other questions…

  • Why has the house moved? I stayed there when it was in Oberon.

That’s the beauty of Tiny Homes! They are portable. In 2021 the business changed hands, and since then the new owners have added a new tiny home to the roster, some additional accomodation options as add-ons, and moved the homes to the Southern Highlands, slightly closer to Sydney and Canberra, but in just as beautiful a spot. If you stayed in the original Kindled house before the business was sold, and loved it, you can stay in it again, but explore a new area. The new owners have kept all the original amenities and facilities, books, board games and have added to the collection as well! If you are looking for something a bit different, try the new Kindled tiny home - the Dieppe Tiny, coming soon.

  • Why was Kindled unavailable for bookings for a while?

In mid-2021 the business changed hands, and the new owners needed time to move the home and set it up in a new spot. NSW then went into the Delta lockdowns, which meant they could not open as planned, so instead focussed on building a new Kindled Tiny Home- the Dieppe Tiny. Sadly, serious flooding in the area impacted the access road to the home and to the property. Once repairs to the road were complete, and the area re-opened to visitors, Kindled was able to reopen, in its new location, with 2 tiny homes.

  • I bought a gift card from the previous owner - is it still valid?

We are happy to accept bookings for previous gift card holders, or to refer patrons to the previous owner who is happy to refund. Contact us, with all your gift card details and we will go from there.

  • I really love your tiny homes - can I buy one?

A big part of what we do at Kindled is give people the opportunity to test out tiny living before they take the plunge and purchase a tiny house.

Both of our homes are very different, so that people get a different experience, and so that they get a taste of what living in Tiny Homes valued at very different price points is like. we are happy to put people in touch with the company that built and designed our first home, Ryde Build, and the Architect who designed and oversaw the building of our second eco-friendly tiny home, Dieppe designs. The new owners have plenty of experience living small, and actually lived full time in one of the Kindled Tiny Homes for a year, throughout covid, and are happy to answer any questions you have about living tiny permanently. Contact us for more information.

  • Why are there cameras on the outside of the homes?

Sadly, we have found that the tiny homes attract a lot of attention, and being isolated and often uninhabited, people travelling past our land when the homes are empty sometimes stop, and try to get into the homes - mostly out of curiosity. The camera and signs about the cameras deter this. The cameras face towards the road, away from the living areas of the tiny homes, and do not record 24/7, so as to respect the privacy of our guests. We also work with local environmental organisations as our cameras often capture sightings of the endangered glossy black cockatoo, meaning that the footage we do manage to capture can help determine population numbers of native endangered species in our area. As we are sandwiched between two national parks, and are outside of Australia Posts remit, we also use the cameras to communicate with National Park Rangers when they are out working in the area.
